Director General of the Prime Minister's Office Md Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Saturday on the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.
After placing wreath, he also offered Fateha and special prayer at the grave, seeking the forgiveness of the souls of Bangabandhu and his family.
At this time acting Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Md Iliasur Rahman, Upazila Awami League President Md Babul Sheikh, Municipal Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul, Upazila Nirbahi Officer AKM Hedayetul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Md. Didarul Islam, Officer-in-Charge AFM Nasim, General Secretary of Municipal Awami League BM Forkan Biswas and others were present. Later, Director General Md. Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui signed the inspection book at Bangabandhu Bhaban after writing his comment.
