Special financial assistance cheques provided by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have been distributed among journalists of Narail district on Monday.
The Cheque distribution ceremony was held at Narail Deputy Commissioner's conference room.
Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Khwaja Mia virtually addressed the cheque distribution ceremony as the chief guest while Managing Director of Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust Jafar Wazed addressed it as the special guest.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narail Muhammad Habibur Rahman presided over the cheque distribution ceremony. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Fakrul Hasan and others were present on the occasion.
Narail DC office sources said, Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust has provided Prime Minister’s special financial assistance cheques of Tk 10,000 to 69 journalists each, who are working in Narail district and have been affected by corona pandemic.
