Nationwide National Fisheries Week is going to be celebrated from July 23-29 with the theme "Bangabandhu's Bangladesh". As part of this, a press conference was held at the office of the Upazila Fisheries Officer in Mirzaganj of Patuakhali.
On Saturday at 10 a.m. Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer (retd) Md Moslem Uddin Khan held a press conference to present the
programs of Fisheries Week to the journalists.
The program includes awarding successful fish farmers/entrepreneurs at local level, release of fish fry, market monitoring, soil and water testing of ponds, training and distribution of materials to beneficiaries and interaction with fish farmers and fishermen at marginal level. These programs will run from August 28 to September 3.
Mirzaganj Press Club President Adm. Mujibur Rahman, Mirzaganj Reporters Unity President Md. Farooq Khan, Upazila Press Club President Md. Monirul Islam and General Secretary Rafiqul Islam Jomaddar along with various print and electronic media were present.
