A press conference was held against conspiracy case against Abdur Rauf alias Khokon of Narail Sadar Upazila at Agdia Jamia Islamia Raufia Madrasa premises on Monday. While reading the written statement at the press conference, Khokon said, I have been providing Ayurveda and Unani treatment through the medicines of the established company, along with providing religious services with reputation for 26 years last.
Many women, men and children from local and distant areas have benefited from my medical services. No one can tell or show any example of anyone facing any kind of harm due to my medical services. My main goal is to work for human welfare. He also said, some people are jealous of my medical services are spreading false propaganda, fabricated and baseless words against me.
On January 13, three persons came to my service center in Agdia and threatened me in various ways and demanded money from me. When I refused to pay the money, they try to assault me. The patients who came to me tried to prevent the incident. After receiving the information, police came to the scene and took the three persons to the Sadar police station. I filed a case of extortion in the police station after mentioning the incident. Later, the defendants filed two separate cases to humiliate me and my relatives. I organized this press conference to highlight the real facts and protest against false propaganda and conspiracy cases.
In the press conference, HM Siraj, HM Ahsan Biplab, Mufti Sajidur Rahman, Central Joint General Secretary of Bangabandhu Professional Council Khandkar Makinul Islam, Bangladesh village doctor welfare association district branch President SM Khanjahan, secretary Janak Kumar Das Dr. SM Nasir Uddin were present in the press conference.
