In Cox's Bazar district, 14 people have died due to corona in the last five days, i.e. the first five days of August. At that time 1,120 people were affected by corona. In this situation, like in the rest of the country, strong preparations have been made to implement the mass vaccination programme from today (Saturday) in Cox's Bazar. Cox's Bazar Civil Surgeon's Office, provided such information on Friday.
Cox's Bazar Civil Surgeon Dr Mahbubur Rahman said corona infections and deaths have been on the rise in Cox's Bazar district since July. Therefore, the activities of Gonatika have been taken to prevent the infection. Today, August 7, 4 municipalities and 61 unions of Cox's Bazar will be inaugurated simultaneously. All preparations have been made in this regard. There will be one vaccination center in each ward of the municipality and three vaccination centers in each union of the district.Cox's Bazar Civil Surgeon's Office sources said. So far 2 lakh 5 thousand 605 people have registered online to get vaccinated in Cox's Bazar.
Till yesterday, 1 lakh 31 thousand 60 people have taken the first dose of vaccine. 56,794 people took both the first and second doses.
According to the Cox's Bazar Civil Surgeon's Office, a total of 14 people died of corona in Cox's Bazar district from August 1 to 5. Last July, 84 people died in 31 days in a month in Corona. The total number of deaths due to corona in Cox's Bazar district from March last year to June 30 was 126. In the 18 months from March 2020 to July 2021, a total of 190 people died in Corona in Cox's Bazar. On an average, more than two people died of corona every day in July.
In the first 5 days of August, a total of 1120 people were infected with corona in Cox's Bazar district.
