A preparatory meeting on "North American Bengali Conference-2022" was held on Wednesday at the meeting room of the Information and Communication Technology Department in the capital.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as the chief guest at the meeting. The discussion was chaired by NM Ziaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Department of Information and Communication Technology, and was attended by ASM Shamsul Arefin, Chief Coordinator, Friends of Bangladesh Chapter, Milan Kumar Ayan, Chairman, North American Bengali Board of Trustees, Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director, and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Senior officials from the American Bengali Society and the ICT Department were also present.
The meeting was informed that the conference would build bridges with Bengali businessmen and Bangladeshi IT professionals in Bangladesh and North America. The meeting was informed that a digital platform would be set up to facilitate investment among businessmen. Through the conference, Bangladesh's position as a destination for innovative activities, mentoring of startups, coaching and especially Bangladeshi Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) business will be further strengthened. In addition, the way of communication between the Bangladeshi community in America will be facilitated by taking and implementing various activities to develop the talents and abilities of the young generation.
