The movie ‘Premer Samadhi' starring Bapparaj, Amit Hasan and Shabnaz succeeded commercially. The story of this movie, the catchy performances and songs of the three stars gained a lot of response from the audience at that time.
Although almost two decades have passed since the release of the movie, people still talk about it often. Not only that, but when Bapparaj, Amit Hasan or Shabnaz meet the audience somewhere, the story of ‘Premer Shamadhi’ always comes up. Today is the two decade milestone of the film in which these three artistes worked together. Before reaching the two decade milestone, these three got together in an informal gathering. And they themselves got immersed in tales of ‘Premer Shamadh’.

Delwar Jahan Jhantu wrote the story, dialogue, screenplay and lyrics of the songs of the movie, Anwar Jahan Nantu directed the music. Iftekhar Jahan directed it.
The movie also starred ATM Shamsuzzaman, Gangua. After the ‘Premer Shamadh’, they also acted in the film ‘Tapasya’ by Gazi Mazharul Anwar.
