A pregnant housewife died from electrocution at Chaluahati village in Monirampur upazila of Jashore district in the early hours on Friday
The deceased was identified as Nasima Bagum, 19, daughter of Salam Dafader of the upazila.
Police said that Nasima Bagum was electrocuted as she came in contact with live wire when tried to switch on a fan at her house around 4:45am.
She was rushed to Jashore general Hospital where doctors declared her dead.
