Pori Moni, a leading star in Dhallywood, is excited about her upcoming web series "Rongila Kitab," directed by Anam Biswas. She plays Supti in the series, which was originally set to release on August 8. However, due to the country’s recent situation, the premiere has been postponed. A new release date is expected by the end of the month.
Pori Moni shared her excitement with the media: “I’m thrilled about ‘Rongila Kitab.’ While the delay is unfortunate, it’s necessary given the current situation. We’re hoping to announce a new release date later this month.”
In addition to "Rongila Kitab," Pori Moni has worked on her first Kolkata film, "Felu Bakshi," directed by Debraj Sinha. Filming is complete, but visa issues are preventing her from finishing the dubbing.
“I don’t have my old visa and am struggling to get a new one. This is my first film in Kolkata, and I’m eager to complete it. I hope to resolve this soon,” she explained.
Her role in "Felu Bakshi" has led to another film project in Kolkata, though details are still under wraps. “I’ve signed on for a new project, but I can’t reveal much yet. Some of it will be filmed in Bangladesh, and there are big plans for the announcement,” she hinted.
Currently, Pori Moni’s primary focus is on her children. “Raising my kids is my top priority. I only take on projects I can manage around them. I want to savour these moments with them because they’ll soon have their own lives,” she said.
Reflecting on her role as a mother, Pori Moni added, “People recognise the love and care I give my children. There’s a special peace in being a mother, and I cherish it every day.”
