A human chain programme has been observed demanding arrest and execution of the killers of Abid Hasan Babu, a slain Bhata worker of Nilkanthapur village in Bishnupur union of Kaliganj in Satkhira.
The human chain programme was held in front of the house of the slain Babu on Tuesday morning, organized by the family members of the victims.
Local UP members Khalil Sardar, Nurul Haque, brother of the deceased Al-Amin, aunt Aklima Khatun, Faima Khatun and others spoke in the human chain.
Speakers at the time demanded exemplary punishment of Babu’s killers, including the execution of his wife Sabina, his police brother-in-law Arif and the terrorist Nurul.
Meanwhile, the court granted a two-day remand to Arif Hossain, a brother-in-law of the deceased arrested in connection with Babu's murder, for questioning.
Following the hearing, Judge Yasmin Nahar of Amli Court-2 granted a two-day remand. The arrested Arif Hossain is the son of late Arshad Ali Moral of Bandakati village. He was working at Hazrahati Investigation Center under Shalikha Police Station in Magura district.
Earlier, on November 3, after torturing and killing Babu due to his wife's extramarital affair, his body was hung on a branch of a nearby pond. Police arrested his wife Sabina and police member brother-in-law Arif on charges of involvement in the incident.
