Police remove hydraulic horns from vehicles in Shailkupa

The traffic police in Jhenidah have been removing the hydraulics horns and LED lights from different vehicles and unauthorized three wheelers at different places of the district. As a part of the drive, they had removed about 150 hydraulic horns and LED lights recently. The drive was conducted by inspector Mohammad Salauh Uddin.

According to district police office, they conducted drives at Garaganj Bus Stand and Bordah bridge area on Jhenidah-Kushtia highway. About 100 truckers had removed the LED lights and hydraulic horns from the vehicles and handed over the same to traffic men engaged in conducting drives.

Later they conducted drives at Kabirpur Tinrasta intersection and seized about 50 LED lights and hydraulic horns from the unauthorized rickshaw vans, rickshaw and auto rickshaws widely known as easy bikes. The traffic men also removed the trucks parked on the roadsides and creating traffic congestions.

Inspector Mohammad Salah Uddin told Bangladesh Post that. The truckers and truck owners were warned so that they could not violate the traffic rules and crate hazardous activities on roads. A number of unauthorized motorbikes were also seized during the time when they could not produce valid papers to the attending police men. 

Superintendent of police (SP) in Jhenidah Mohammad Hasanuzzaman said the traffic police had also warned the young men who were carrying three persons on the bikes. The continuous drive will help reduce the use of unauthorized LED lights, hydraulic horns in the vehicles and parking trucks and other vehicles on the busy roads and roadside.

The people moving on the roads will enjoy jam-free road and roadsides within a few weeks due to the drives, Mohammad Hasanuzzaman said.
