Police recover lost phone of CU visually disabled student

The Chattogram District Police has recovered lost sets of smartphone from different places of Chattogram and handed it over to the owners. District Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah handed over these recovered mobile phones to their respective owners at Chattogram District Police Superintendent's office on Sunday afternoon.

Visually impaired Selim Bhuiyan is a student of Chattogram University (CU) Department of History (2020-22) academic year.  His smart phone was lost from Suhrawardy Hall last month. Later, a smart team of the district police was able to recover the lost phone from Gaibandha in view of the general diary at Hathajari Model Police Station.

Chattogram District Police Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operation) Sudipta Sarkar along with the owners of recovered mobile phones were present. Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah said, several mobile phones were lost at different times from different parts of the district in Chattogram.  In such cases, we have been able to recover 10 mobiles from various districts of the country using our digital monitoring system based on the general diary of mobile owners.  However, no one could be arrested.

He said, “A visually impaired student of Chattogram University came to me. We find out that his smartphone goes missing from the hall.  Later, a team of my district police recovered it from Sunderganj upazila of Gaibandha district and handed it over to him.
