A fake doctor named Shamim was arrested during a regular operation to maintain law and order in Salimganj market of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria. Imprisonment of 06 months for violation of section 29 of Medical and Dental Council Act, 2010 by bogus doctor. The operation was conducted by the Executive Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Mosharraf Hossain.
On Saturday (September 17), Sufla raided the pharmacy and arrested him. The convicted fake doctor is the son of Salam doctor of New Muktarampur village of Barikandi union of the upazila.
Upazila Nirbahi Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mosharraf Hossain said that the owner of Sufla Homeo Pharmacy, Shamim Parvez, was sentenced to 3 months imprisonment without work on March 5 for defrauding people by pretending to be a doctor. However, after getting out of jail, he started cheating again by pretending to be a doctor. For a long time, he was destroying the youth of the area by selling distilled alcohol under the guise of pharmacy business.
