Emergency service vehicles were introduced in Bogura for the first time in the country to ensure people-friendly policing.

One of the problems with the rapid response to emergency services 999 was the transportation system. The 999 dedicated car system was introduced to solve that problem.

Rajshahi Range DIG Abdul Baten inaugurated the 999 dedicated vehicle for emergency service at the Bogura District Police Superintendent Office at 12:30 pm on Tuesday.

DIG Abdul Baten said that 999 service system was launched in the country on December 12, 2017 under the direct supervision of Sajib Wazed Joy, Information Adviser to the Prime Minister. 999 has received 24 million calls so far. Police in Bangladesh responded quickly to these calls and provided the necessary services.

However, in this case, the communication system was an obstacle. For this, three pick-up truck have been provided in Bogura. The vehicles will be used to solve the problem that will come to the 999 emergency service, he added.

He said the use of these dedicated vehicles would make the quality of emergency services as easy as possible, alleviate the suffering of the people and ensure maximum benefits.

District Superintendent of Police Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan, Additional Superintendent of Police Ali Haider Chowdhury, Abdul Rashid, Motahar Hossain, Sanatan Chakraborty and other district police officials were present on the occasion.
