The annual performance agreement between the Police Headquarters and Criminal Investigation Department was signed on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed under the government performance management system with the aim of increasing transparency and accountability in government activities, ensuring appropriate use of resources and developing institutional capacity, said a CID press release.
The agreement was signed by IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun and CID Chief, Additional IG Mohammad Ali Miah.
In order to accelerate the activities of the CID, various projects and training measures have been planned to modernize the Organized Crime and Cybercrime units of the CID .
This agreement will increase the capacity and efficiency of the financial crime, the handout said. If the efficiency of financial intelligence and financial crime unit are increased, the crimes of white color criminals in money market and capital market in the country will be under control.
CID will be able to bring the criminals under the law. Various plans have been adopted to bring the real criminals to justice and establish justice in the society through the purchase of modern equipment and software, modernization of record rooms and archive branches for the preservation of important documents and information technology-based, science-based, objective and impartial investigations.
