Police constables arrested for fake FF certificate

Police arrested two police constables from their duty place on Thursday night for submitted false freedom fighter's certificate. Judge Manzurul Islam ordered them to imprisoned when they appeared in the Judicial Magistrate Court in Jashore  overnight.   The detainees are Minhaj Hossain (Constable No.873), who is currently working in Satkhira and Nasir Uddin (Constable No.6059) working in Khulna Metropolitan (KMP).

Minhaj was the son of Abdur Razzak of Nawli village of Abhainagar upazila of Jashore and Nasiruddin son of Nur Mohammad of Balarampur village in Bagharpara upazila In 2015, they got police jobs in Jashore police in the Kota freedom fighter. Investigating officer Jashore Kotwali police sub-inspector Mokhlesuzzaman said that they were detained from their duty place. Another accused in the same case, Salauddin is servicing in the metropolitan area. He will also be arrested any time.

Inspector of the Jashore Reserve Office, M Mashiur Rahman, said that the appointment of constable posts was held at the Jashore Police Line Field on February 23 on the basis of the notification of recruitment for the post of Police Constable.  They were finally elected to the post of constable in the quota of freedom fighters. After six months of training they joined their  workplace. 

Police sent their submitted freedom fighter certificate to the Ministry of Liberation Affairs through the police headquarters for verification same year. Their freedom fighter certificates proved to be fake by scrutiny.  After receiving the report on the recommendation of the ministry of Liberation Affairs, on December 30, Mosiur Rahman,  RI inspector of Jashore Reserve police Office, filed a case at Jashore Kotwali police station on charges of fraud.
