Police arrested four people in a case filed in connection with three teenagers who went missing from Pallabi area of the capital on Sunday.
They arrested were identified as Md Rakibullah (20), Md Tariqullah (19), Zinnia alias Tiktok Zinnia Rose (18), and Sharfuddin Ahmed Ayon (18).
The elder sister of one of the missing teenagers filed a complaint with Pallabi Police Station on Friday accusing four persons under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act.
Kazi Dil Afroz, elder sister of one of the missing girls, filed the case with Pallabi Police Station mentioning the name of four persons and some 4-5 unnamed.
The police station Officer in-Charge (OC) Md Parvez Islam confirmed it.
In a latest development, a Dhaka Court placed Md Rakibullah on a two-day remand.
However, police produced all four accused seeking a seven-day remand for each.
However, the court only granted a two- day remand for Rakibullah.
The court will pass order after verifying the age of three other accused in the next hearing, court sources said.
On September 30, the three girls left home and their phones were switched off. One of them took Tk 6 lakh in cash, another took gold ornaments and the other took Tk 75,000 and several mobile phones from their houses.
Their family members fear they might have been trapped by human trafficking syndicate luring them with an overseas trip.
All the three are students of Class XII. Although they belong to different institutions, they are close friends.
They were wearing college dress when they went out from their residences.

However, they took money, gold ornaments, mobile phones and school certificates with them. They have not been found since.
The three students have recently expressed their interest in going to Japan with a young man, who is their neighbour, in the area. They do not have any passports.
One of the missing girls’ mother brought allegations against her own brother Tariqul along with Tik Tok model Jinia over the incident.
