Police applied to forfeit licences of 18 residential hotels

Kotwali Police Station OC Md Zahidul Kabir has applied to the Deputy Commissioner to cancel the licenses of 18 hotels in Chattogram city.

This application, he mentioned that anti-social activities are often conducted in hotels under the guise of renting out residential rooms.  Men and women have been arrested several times from these hotels and handed over to the court.  Hotel owners and managers have been repeatedly instructed to desist from anti-social activities as per the license conditions and rent out rooms to common boarders in residential hotels, but they continue to indulge in anti-social activities in violation of the license conditions.

The applications for cancelling the license of the hotels are - Hotel Lusai Inn on Old Church Road, Hotel Saudia on KC Day Road, Hotel Ace Night (Super Host House) in Laldighi Par area, Hotel Camellia (Hotel Samrat) in Rangam Convention Hall area, Hotel Naval Residential and Hotel Karnaphuli Residential in Firingibazar Brijghat area, Hotel Muslim Residential and Hotel Viraj near Nandankanan Education Office, Hotel in BRTC area. Silver Inn and Hotel Hilltown Residential, Hotel Gateway Residential on Station Road, Hotel Metro Inn, Hotel Guest Inn, Iqbal Boarding, Hotel Gani Residential and Hotel Dhaka Residential, Hotel Darbar Residential and Hotel Adar Residential on Loyal Road near Zahoor Hawkers Market.

Kotwali police station (OC) Md. Zahidul Kabir said that despite raiding these hotels many times to stop anti-social activities, these things cannot be stopped.  So I have applied to the Deputy Commissioner to cancel the license of these hotels in Kotwali police station area.
