PM virtually inaugurates road in Bhola

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated 100 improved roads in 50 districts of 8 divisions of Bangladesh.

While inaugurating a total of 2,000 kilometers of roads and highways across the country, starting from Ghuingar Hat under Daulatkhan Upazila of Bhola district, going through Charpata and Dalilkhar Hats to Daulatkhan with a cost of 29 crore 47 lakh 43 thousand taka, about 11 kilometers of roads, the Prime Minister said to the countrymen, "In the development of communication system, the government has paved the way for the development of roads. Now it is the responsibility of the people to take care of the roads."

Through a video conference from Ganobhaban at around 11 am on Wednesday, the Prime Minister highlighted the names and locations of the 100 roads inaugurated and said, "From where people used to take 8/9 hours to reach Dhaka, now they can reach Dhaka in just 2/3 hours".

Directly on the eve of the inauguration ceremony, Minister for Roads and Communications Obaidul Quader gave a special speech at the inauguration ceremony in the presentation of the Council of Ministers Secretary. Bhola Deputy Commissioner Md Taufiq E-Lahi Chowdhury spoke as the head of the program organized by the Prime Minister directly after the inauguration of the 2000 kilometer highway, a new light in the month of victory.

In the inauguration held at the Bhola Zilla Parishad conference room, Zilla Parishad Chairman Abdul Momin Tulu, Superintendent of Police Saiful Islam, Bhola District Road Department Executive Engineer Nazmul Ahsan and Daulatkhan Upazila Parishad Chairman Manjur Alam Khan spoke among others. Under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Tamim Al Yamin and presentation by Bandhan Talukdar, Bhola Public Works Department Executive Engineer Musa, LGED Executive Engineer Ibrahim Khalil, Water Development Board Executive Engineer Hasanuzzaman, Bhola Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Touhidul Islam were also present. , Sadar Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Yunush and many others were present at the programme. The development work of the 11 km Surrey road under Daulatkhan upazila of Bhola was completed on October 2020.
