PM’s grants for students admission

Insolvent or under-privileged students will receive assistance in getting admitted to schools through the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust. A grant of 5,000 taka will be provided to support students enrolled in classes VI through X.

To receive this funding, indigent students must apply through online until midnight on February 29. The web link is https://www.eservice.pmeat.gov.bd/admission.

The Prime Minister's Educational Assistance Trust released a circular that contained these statements. The notification was released last Monday by the Ministry of Education's Department of Secondary and Higher Education.

The notification states that in 2024, a number of educational institutions under the directorates of Secondary and Higher Education, Technical Education, and Madrasa Education will receive admission assistance from the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust to guarantee the admission of deserving and impoverished students enrolled and studying at the secondary and equivalent level (6th to 10th standard). To receive assistance with admission, the student must apply online via the designated website.

Financial grants will be given consideration to parents who are employed by the government or constitutional institutions. In all other situations, the parents' or guardians' yearly income should not exceed Tk2 lakh.

Students must provide a photo, signature, birth certificate, parent's national identity card, and the recommended recommendation of the educational institution's head in the prescribed form in order to receive admission assistance. Additionally, the certification or recommendation of the working head of the institution will be required by the parents or guardians in the case of children of third- and fourth-class employees.

According to the "Admission Assistance Guidelines" for students, students will receive financial aid in the interim for admission. To guarantee admission to educational institutions, the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust offers aid for admission to deserving and impoverished students. Currently, secondary-level admission assistance is provided at a rate of Tk 5,000, higher secondary assistance is provided at a rate of Tk 8,000, and graduate and equivalent assistance is provided at a rate of Tk 10,000.
