‘PM always sincere to resolve water logging in Ctg’

Chattogram city will be free of water logging once the current mega projects adopted by the Army and CDA are implemented, said Engineer Mosharraf Hossain MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.

He made the remark while inaugurating the newly constructed Shaheed Nagar Bridge over the Shital Jharna Canal under Chattogram City Water Supply Reduction Project taken at the initiative of Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday afternoon.  

CDA Chairman M Zahirul Alam Dobhas and Additional Director General of 34 Engineering Construction Brigade of Bangladesh Army Colonel Muhammad Saifur Rahman were present at the time as special guests.

Engineer Mosharraf Hossain said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has commended the Army and CDA Chairman for implementing this mega project promised by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and expressed hope that it would play a role in alleviating water logging crisis in Chattogram city.

CDA Assistant Officer Md Osman conducted the programme while, CDA Board Members Md Jasim Uddin Shah, KBM Shahjahan, Md Azim, CDA Secretary Md Anwar Pasha, Chief Engineer Kazi Hasan Bin Shams, Project Directors Lt. Col. Shah Ali, Engineer Md Mainuddin and senior officials and staff of CDA were present on the occasion.
