The Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) has approved a new five-year strategic plan for 2025-2030, aiming to accelerate inclusive growth and sustainable development for the country's underprivileged and low-income populations.

The 'PKSF Strategic Plan (2025-2030)' was given the green light during the 260th meeting of its Governing Body at the PKSF Bhaban in the capital on Sunday.

During the meeting, it was noted that while PKSF's activities have been widely appreciated, a new strategy is needed to address the evolving socio-economic landscape, technological changes, and the current needs of the people.

To meet the goals of the new plan, a loan disbursement target of Tk 11,000 crore for the upcoming 2025-26 fiscal year was proposed, a significant increase from the Tk 9,340 crore disbursed in the outgoing 2024-25 fiscal year. This increased funding is expected to help PKSF's Partner Organizations (POs) reach more people at the grassroots level more effectively.

Later in the afternoon, the PKSF General Body held its 14th meeting, where it endorsed the strategic plan.

The General Body also approved a revised budget of Tk 10,337 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25 and a total budget of Tk 12,346 crore for the new fiscal year 2025-26.

Both meetings were chaired by PKSF Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan. PKSF Managing Director Md Fazlul kader and Governing Body members Dr Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Nurun Nahar, Farzanah Chowdhury, Prof Dr Md Taufiqul Islam, and Lila Rashid, PhD, were also in attendance.
