Pilgrimage gains merit, expands mind as well, says CCC Mayor

Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said, Bangladesh-India are friendly neighbors, common people of both countries are non-communal and peace-loving.  Origin and development of Sanatan Dharma in India.  There are various monuments and places of pilgrimage of Sanatan Hindu religion spread across almost all the states of India.

He said, not only the merits but also the mind expands as a result of the pilgrimage. Chattogram City Corporation is giving various support to the Pilgrimage every year.  

CCC mayor said that during the long pilgrimage, he got acquainted with different ethnic groups and social-civilization-culture.  Forgetting all differences, human-to-human union is religion.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Chattogram City Corporation Pilgrimage Management Council's initiative at the Chattogram City Corporation's Pilgrimage Management Council in the Chattogram City Corporation's Old City Hall on Sunday morning.

The meeting was presided over by the convener of the council Patharghata ward councillor Pulak Khastagir and Kanulal Nath moderated.  Panel CCC Mayor Md Gias Uddin, Councilor Abdus Salam Masum, Zahur Lal Hazari, Reserved Councillor Nellu Nag, Rumki Sen Gupta, CCC Special Magistrate Manisha Mahajan, Engineer Prabir Kumar Sen, Arun Chowdhury, Veer Muktijodha Pinaki Das, members of the Parishad spoke.  Secretary Paritosh Biswas.  CCC Supervising Engineer Jhulan Kumar Dash, Civil Engineer Biplab Dash, Dr. Subal Acharya, Prabir Acharya, Joint Member Secretary Ratan Chowdhury, Balram Dash were present.

CCC Mayor said that pilgrimage makes the mind generous and pure.  A wealth of experience is filled through country travel.  Gaining knowledge, wealth and renewal are inevitable in human life.  He said, religion should be nurtured and served as faith.  Be religious and not fanatical.  Religion plays a helpful role in human development.  He called upon all to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in establishing Bangabandhu's dream of a non-communal Bangladesh by showing respect to other religions and keeping the bond of brotherhood intact.  Travel bags and other items are distributed to the pilgrims of the event.

ItIts mentioned noted that pilgrims will leave Chattogram from Old Nagar Bhavan premises for the purpose of India on November 18.

They visit in India Pinddan, Haridwar Ganga Abahan, Benaras, Kashi, King Harishchandra Cremation Ghat, Amutsar Golden Temple, Punjab Wagah Border, Mayapur Temple, Mathura, Brindavan, Delhi's Kalibari, Chandi Temple, Mansha Temple, monasteries, temples and site scenes.
