A passenger laden bus fell into a ditch 30 feet deep after losing its control on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Baliyarpur area in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on Saturday morning. At least 15 of its passengers were injured in this accident.
Saiful Islam, Inspector (Investigation) of Savar model police station confirmed the matter to The Bangladesh Post.
Saiful Islam said, the passenger laden bus of 'Nilachal Paribahan' going towards Manikganj with full of passengers from capital’s Gabtoli area. At the time, its driver suddenly lost its control and the bus fell into a ditch, when it was crossing Baliyarpur area. However, 15 passengers were injured in this incident but no death was reported.
Farhad Hossain, Sr station officer of Savar Fire service said, ‘Locals rescued and took the injured people to the nearest hospital, and on information, two units of Savar fire service rushed to the spot and conducted rescue operation.’
