Amid the prevailing coronavirus situation in the country, Parveen Haque Sikder, MP, has distributed cash and relief items among helpless, destitute and poor people.
The program was inaugurated on Thursday noon at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office in Shariatpur. At that time, she distributed 1,000 taka in cash among 7,000 people, rice, oil, vermicelli, sugar and other Eid items among 2,000 people. She provided 2,000 people with sari and lungi. She also planted sapling in Shariatpur.
At the end of the inauguration, she announced that the relief materials would be delivered to the homes of the helpless, destitute through her staff.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Shariatpur Kazi Abu Taher, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Abeda Afsari, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, EP Chairman Biplap Sikder and officials of National Bank were present on the occasion.
