‘Partner Congress’ on agriculture held in Raozan

A ‘Partner Congress’ focused on increasing crop production, ensuring nutritional security, and promoting agri-entrepreneurship was held in Raozan on Wednesday. Organised by the Upazila Agriculture Office, the event took place at the Raozan Upazila Parishad auditorium under the project “Programme on Agriculture and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER).”

The event was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jisan Bin Majed, with Omar Faruk, Additional Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension (Chattogram), as the chief guest. Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Md. Masum Kabir delivered the welcome address, while the event was moderated by Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer Sanjib Kumar Sushil.

Special guests included Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Alomgir Hossain Azadi, Upazila Livestock Officer Jayita Basu, and Cooperative Officer Mintu Barua. Among others who spoke were Acting Chairman of Chikdair Union Parishad Modasser Haidar, General Secretary of Rauzan Press Club Nezam Uddin Rana, NGO representative Suman Kumar Ghosh, and Sharifpara IPM Club President and farmer Abdus Shukkur.

The event also featured the screening of a documentary highlighting the achievements and initiatives of the agriculture department.
