Paoli Dam, the famous Indian actress, is in Bangladesh to shoot her new movie. Paoli last acted in a Bangladeshi film called " Swatta in 2017, where she starred alongside Shakib Khan. After " Swatta," she received many offers to work in other Bangladeshi films, but none worked out.
Now, Paoli is back to work on a new Bangladeshi movie called "Neel Jochhona," directed by Fakhrul Arefin Khan. She will act with Partha Barua, FS Naeem, Intekhab Dinar, and Meher Afroz Shaon in this film. Paoli shared that the story of "Neel Jochona" involves a parallel universe, which she found very interesting.
Before the Covid pandemic, Paoli visited Dhaka to host an award ceremony for the India-Bangladesh Film Awards. She discussed acting in a few films, but the pandemic halted those plans. During the pandemic, Paoli worked on several Hindi projects for OTT platforms like "Bulbul," "Raat Baki Hai," "The Great Indian Murder," "Karmojuddha," and "Charlie Chopra The Mystery of Solang Valley."
Paoli enjoys working in Dhaka again. She mentioned that this film involves a lot of green screen shooting, which is new for her. She is excited to work with many famous Bangladeshi artists in this movie.
Paoli believes that artists from Dhaka and Kolkata should work together more often. She thinks more collaboration would break barriers and create great content. She hopes for more unity and initiatives between the two Bengals.
