National Defence College at Mirpur Cantonment organised a Panel Discussion on “Life of Bangabandhu” on Monday to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Mafidul Hoque, Board of Trustee, Liberation War Museum, moderated the session.
Former Director General of Bangla Academy Professor Shamsuzzaman Khan, former Ambassador Muhammad Zamir, and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr Atiur Rahman, presented keynote papers on “Bangabandhu as Politician”, “Bangabandhu as Statesman” and “Bangabandhu as Leader” respectively.
The discourse highlighted different aspects of the life of Bangabandhu such as his political career, statesmanship and his visionary leadership which drew attention of the audience and inspired the future leaders. Commandant of NDC, Lieutenant General Sheikh Mamun Khaled, faculty members and course members of National Defence Course 2020 were present at the session.
