Terming Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as a political leader as well as a philosopher, State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak has called for spreading his philosophy of love, peace and independence among youths.

“Bangabandhu raised surging movements to end the political deprivation of people, but he never deviated from peaceful stand. He worked most of his life as a political activist. He always emphasized on non-violent and peaceful policies,” Palak said.

The state minister said these while addressing a webinar titled “Love, Peace and Independence; Philosophy of Bangabandhu” organized by ICT Division last night, an official release said on Saturday, reports BSS.

Conducted by Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Barrister Shah Ali Farhad, the webinar was also addressed by Dhaka University Professor Dr Fakhrul Alam, media personality Syed Badrul Ahsan and ICT Division Senior Secretary NM Ziaul Alam, among others.

Palak at the webinar highlighted the basic aspects of Bangabandhu’s political philosophy by presenting a number of quotes.

“Bangabandhu, who in 1972 had said, my greatest strength is the love for my people, my greatest weakness is that I love them too much, lost his life by the bullets of the killers on the black night of August 15, 1975,” he added.
