Paddy procurement campaign has started in Natore from Monday. Local MP Shafiqul Isram Shimul inaugurated the procurement of paddy at Natore's OCLSD godown on Monday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Shahriaz, Acting District Food Controller Shafiqul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jahangir Alam and other government officials were present at the time.
According to the district food department, the target is to procure 459 Metric Tones of Boro paddy and 2,031 Metric Tones of Boro rice from Natore Sadar Upazila and 1,609 Metric Tones of paddy and 902 Metric Tones of rice from Naldanga Upazila.
Besides, a target has been set to procure 362 Metric Tones of Ataap rice from these two upazilas of Natore too.
