CID police arrested Hamjalal, an accused in Pabna’s sensational Habibur Rahman Habib murder case from Sylhet on Saturday night.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Waliul Islam of Pabna CID office confirmed the matter. An investigation team including CID sub-inspector Saiful Islam, who is investigating the case, arrested Hamjalal, the 10th accused in Habibur Rahman Habib's murder case.
The arrested Hamzalal is the son of Saddam Hussein of Khar Pukur area under Handial Union in Chatmohar upazila. The ASP added that the process of arresting the other accused in the case is ongoing.
On June 14 this year, Habib was stabbed to death by some terrorists in a trivial incident of playing an online game on his mobile phone.
Habib's father Abdur Razzak became a plaintiff and filed a murder case with Chatmohar police station accusing 11 named and 18 to 20 unidentified persons.
Later, the case was handed over to CID Pabna. Arrestee Hamzalal was sent to jail after questioning following arrest.
