Pabna District Detective Police arrested a drug dealer with 200 Yaba tablets. On Wednesday at 11:30 pm, a raid was conducted in Fatemohamadpur area of Ishwardi in Pabna and the paddler was arrested and rescued.
The arrested drug dealer is Shah Alam, son of Mofiz Uddin of Dhanaidah village of Lalpur upazila of Natore. He was sent to Pabna Jail by court.
Pabna Detective (DB) Police Officer-in-Charge Emran Mahmud Tuhin said that based on secret information that the recovered Yaba tablets were brought to Ishwardi for sale from Lalpur in Natore district, they took a position on the road in front of Benarsi village of Fatemohamadpur in Ishwardi upazila around 11:30 pm on Wednesday. Sensing the presence of the police, Shah Alam tried to escape and was arrested. After searching his body, 200 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered.
He also said that Shah Alam has been involved in drug trade for a long time. He was sent to Pabna jail through the court after filing a case against him under Narcotics Control Act at Ishwardi police station.
