Over 30,000 farmers get incentive in Chuadanga

Chuadanga Agriculture Extension Department has been giving 65,312.5 kgs of maize, borro paddy, wheat, master oil, mug, onion seeds and 2,74,300 fertilizers among 30,300 marginal farmers in four upazilas of the district as incentives for cultivation in 2020-21 fiscal year. 

According to Agriculture Extension Department 50,000 kgs of maize seeds and 2,50,000 kgs of DAP and MOP fertilizers are being given to 25,000 farmers, 1,800 kgs of Borro paddy seeds and 1,800 kgs of DAP and MOP fertilizers among 1,800 farmers, 1,000 kgs of master oil seeds and 10,000 kgs of DAP and MOP fertilizers among 1,000 farmers, 7,500 kgs of mug dall seeds and 7,500 kgs of fertilizers among 1,500 farmers, 12.5 kgs of onion seeds and 2,500 kgs of fertilizers to 500 farmers, 5,000 kgs of bean seeds and 2,500 kgs of fertilizers among 500 farmers. 

The sources added that of the total farmers, 7,350 farmers in sadar upazila, 7,350 in Alamdanga upazila, 8,250 in Damurhuda upazila and 7,350 in Jibannagar upazila are getting seeds of different crops and fertilizers. 

Mohammad Ali Hasan, Deputy Direc­tor of Agricul­ture Extension Depart­ment said the department has been giving the seeds and fertilizers at free of cost to the poor farmers for cultivating the crops.
