Out-of-School Children Education Program (PEDP-4) and Sub-component 2.5 non-formal primary school activities have been inaugurated under the Non-Formal Education Bureau of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
The activities of the learning center No. 1 under this program started on Tuesday in Uttar Kandi village of Shiloy union. The Resource Integration Center (RIC) is a subsidiary of the program.
Md. Humayun Kabir Sardar, Assistant Director, Munshiganj District Non-Formal Education Bureau was present as the chief guest and inaugural speaker at the inaugural function.
RICK's Munshiganj District Program Manager Shamsul Huda presided over the function as a special guest, Former 6th ward member of Shiloy Union Bir Muktijoddha Md Rofiqul Islam Bepary, President of Shilai Kazibari Madrasa Bir Muktijoddha Haji Dr. Md. Monirul Islam, Upazila Program Manager of Rick Md. Abu Saeed Mandal, Member of 4th, 5th and 6th Ward of Shilai Union Mamtaz Begum. Supervisors, teachers, parents and students of the Out of School Children program were present.
Speaking as the chief guest, Md. Humayun Kabir Sardar, Assistant Director, Munshiganj District Non-Formal Education Bureau said, “Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is making every effort to expand education. Rick is implementing this project through NGOs so that your sons and daughters are not deprived of education. Whether your child will be a doctor, judge, secretary, teacher or aviator depends on education. This is possible only if you make your child read. Everyone is human. But in order to develop as a real person, one has to take good education. And good education and practical education will be provided through this project.
