Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Al-Amin distributed blankets among the students of the orphanage and Hafezi Madrasa that are receiving capitation grant in Bauphal, Patuakhali.
About 40 blankets were distributed at Dhandi Shishu Sanad Noorani and Hafezi Madrasa of the upazila around 11am on Wednesday.
Former Upazila Vice-Chairman and Freedom Fighter Commander Mohammad Samsul Alam Mia and District Council Member Mohammad Harun Ar Rashid Khan were present during the distribution of blankets.
UNO Md Al-Amin said, “About 6500 blankets have been distributed among 15 orphanages, shelters and helpless people in 15 unions and one municipality of the upazila. Distribution activities are still ongoing.”
