Dhaka University (DU) has opened applications for its undergraduate program for the 2024-25 academic year for Open University students. The application process started on Saturday, November 16, and will continue until November 25 at 11:59 PM, as per the DU admission website. Detailed guidelines for the application process have also been provided online.
According to the notification, students from the Open University can apply subject to the publication of their higher secondary examination results. Students who passed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent exams between 2019 and 2022, and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent in 2024, are eligible to apply. Notably, there is no provision for second-time admissions.
Applicants must follow a five-step application process: logging in with their academic credentials, providing personal details, uploading a photo in the specified format, creating a password, and paying the application fee.
The application fee is set at 1,050 taka for most units, while applicants for the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) need to pay 1,500 taka. Fees can be submitted online through mobile banking, internet banking, debit/credit cards, or at any branch of Sonali, Agrani, Janata, or Rupali Bank.
The admission tests will begin on January 3, 2025. Specific test dates for the units are:
- IBA Unit: January 3
- Art Unit (General Knowledge and Drawing): January 4
- Arts, Law, and Social Sciences Unit: January 25
- Science Unit: February 1
- Business Education Unit: February 8
