An Open House Day was held in Gopalnagar village under Jibannagar Municipality with the aim of bringing police services to the public's doorstep and promoting community policing through citizen participation. The event, organised by Jibannagar Police Station, took place on Thursday evening.
Superintendent of Police of Chuadanga, Khandaker Golam Mowla (BPM-Seba), attended as the chief guest. Local residents shared various concerns, to which the SP directed officers to take necessary action.
Speakers emphasised the role of police as public servants and called on the community, especially students and youth, to stand against drugs, human trafficking, gambling, suicide, child marriage, and other social issues. Citizens were urged to report criminal activities without hesitation.
The event was attended by Jibannagar OC Md. Mamun Hossain Biswas, Inspectors Ripon Kumar Das and Md. Atikur Rahman, along with other police officials, community policing leaders, and locals from diverse professions.
