One more individual was diagnosed as a corona patient on Wednesday, and including him the total number of corona patient came to 4 in Kurigram.
Civil Surgeon of Kurigram Dr Habibur Rahman said a 24-year old youth was found infected with the virus in the test reports of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
The Civil Surgeon said that he collected 309 samples and then sent them to IEDCR for test. They are waiting for reports of 124 more corona suspects while 184 people were tested negative and the other 4 people were found corona positive in the district.
The new patient is a 24 year old youth from Jadurchar union of Rawmary upazila of the district. He has recently returned from Gagipur district. As a result, Rawmary upazila has two corona patients while the other two patients are from Nageswari and Sadar upazila respectively. Civil Surgeon said to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone should follow the guidelines of the government.
