A man was killed and five others were injured in a road accident in Shimrail area of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj district on Friday afternoon.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The accident occurred when a Cumilla-bound passenger bus of Dhaka-Homna Super Service lost control and hit the road divider in the area around 4.30pm, leaving six persons standing by the road side injured seriously, Kanchpur Highway Police Outpost Inspector Nabir Hossain said.
Later, the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where one succumbed to his injuries.
Police seized the bus from the spot, but its driver and helper managed to flee away.
