A man was killed in a road accident at Kanaitola area on Jashore-Monirampur road under sadar upazila on Friday morning at 8:00 am. The deceased was identified as Alauddin Biswas, 56, son of Ejjot Ali Biswas hailed from Ramnagor village under Jashore Sadar Upazila.
Officer-In-Charge (OC) Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station Md. Moniruzzaman confirmed the matter. Police and deceased relative’s sources said, a speedy truck hit Alauddin when he was standing at roadside at Kanaitola area, he seriously injured. Locals rescued him and taken to Jashore 250-bed general hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.
A case was filed in Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station in this connection.
