A bus named Digant Paribahan hit the truck standing in Mirsharai, Chittagong. A bus passenger named Umraj Mia (29) was killed.
The incident took place in Kamaldah area of Wahedpur Union of the upazila on Sunday (October 30) morning.
Deceased Umraj Miah is the son of Hormuz Miah of Habiganj Sadar police station. It is said that he was going to Chittagong from Dhaka.
According to locals, a cargo truck is standing in front of Feed Limited on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Kamaldah area. A passenger bus was hit from behind, killing the passenger of the bus in front.
In-charge of Kumira Highway Police Station Shahadat Hossain confirmed the fact and said that two vehicles have been seized.
The body of the deceased bus passenger is in the custody of the police station.
He said that the body will be handed over to the family after the legal process.
