A team of BGB, led by Habildar Mohammad Helal Uddin of Nimtola BOP raided Danga Math of Iswachandrapur in Darshana Thana of Chuadanga district and arrested one person with phensedyl on September 30 at about 3 pm.
The arrestee was identified as Shafiqul Islam, son of late Sohrab Hossain Sheikh of village Iswachandrapur in Darshana Thana of Chuadanga district.
According to BGB press release, on getting secret information the team of BGB rushed to Danga Math of the village, lay in wait in a hideout, when the paddler with phensedyl appeared there from the border area of India, then BGB anyhow detained him and recovered 46 bottles of phensedyl from his bag.
A case was filed with Darshana Thana for keeping illegal phensedyl. He was handed over to Police.
