A miscreant was held with a box full of locally made sharp weapons from Notun Bridge intersection in Chattogram city while three patrol teams of army conducted drive on Sunday night. The wrongdoer was detained at that time with the help of the locals.
The drive conducted by the patrol teams was led by Captain Mahraf of Task Force-4 of Bangladesh Army.
The patrol teams of Bangladesh Army conducted the drive at Notun Bridge Tin Rasta intersection under Boxirhat ward in Chattogram city. Based on the information provided by the locals, the patrol teams recovered a box full of 21 locally made sharp weapons from a shop with the help of the locals. They also detained one person at that time.
The detainee with the sharp weapons was handed over to Baklia police station.
Earlier, the locals of the area protested some unidentified miscreants when they were taking extortion from several vehicles. However, the miscreants attacked the common people with locally made sharp weapons. Later, three patrol teams of army conducted drives.
