Nusrat Jahan Tania, the elder sister of Mosarat Jahan Munia who died in the capital's Gulshan, lives a luxurious life despite being a low-paid banker in Cumilla, said a press release.
The release said Nusrat works at the Padma Bank branch at Chawkbazar in Cumilla's Kotwali at a salary of Tk 25,000 per month.
Still she lives in luxury flats and rides expensive cars by using her younger sister Munia and has amassed huge wealth through immoral business, the release added.
Not only that, she allegedly rented a flat at Tk 100,000 per month for her younger sister Munia in Gulshan, a posh area of the capital.
The release said Nusrat established illicit relations with the bank customers of Cumilla by taking the opportunity of working in the loan department of the bank.
She allegedly used to associate with different quarters in multiple flats in Dhaka and Cumilla and she used her younger sister Munia as bait.
According to the release, the reputation of Padma Bank is being tarnished while teenage girls are falling into temptation and getting involved in bad deeds because of Nusrat. The release quoted one of Nusrat's cousins as saying, "We are very ashamed of various things. Especially because of Nusrat's greed, she had driven her younger sister Munia to some wrong deeds."
