A student of Barishal Institute of Health Technology was killed after being crushed under the wheels of a bus in Babuganj upazila of Barishal district on Saturday night.
Deceased Tajnim Rahman Khan Srabon, 20, son of Saidur Rahman Khan, a resident of Dhanua area in Gazipur.
Babuganj Fire Service and Civil Defence fireman Md Shamim Hossain said, Srabon along with another was going towards Airport from Rahmatpur village, riding on a motorcycle. On the way, a Patuakhali-bound Ilish Paribahan bus from Dhaka rammed their autorickshaw from opposite direction, leaving the Srabon dead on the spot.
Being informed, they recovered the body and handed over the body to Babuganj Police Station, he said.
Lokman Hossain, inspector of the police station, said police sent the body to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy and seized the bus.
