The authorities of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) have decided to conduct online classes and offline exams until April 25 due to the intense heat.

On Monday, April 22, this decision was made in an emergency meeting chaired by NSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Didar-ul-Alam. Deans, directors, registrar, proctor, and hall provosts attended the meeting.

Additionally, the university administration advised students to follow the health guidelines  to mitigate health risks.

: 1. Avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during intense daytime heat. 2. In outdoors, seek shade and wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothes. 3. Wear a hat or cap with a brim and cover your head with cloth when outside. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of clean water. 4. Avoid beverages that raise body temperature, such as tea and coffee. 5. Consume easily digestible food and avoid stale or exposed food items. 6. Refrain from consuming ice cream and cold beverages in hot weather as they may lead to dehydration. 7. Take regular showers, and if possible, bathe with cold water multiple times a day. 8. Avoid immediate contact with cold water upon returning indoors. 9. If feeling overheated, cool down at room temperature before bathing. 10. Seek prompt medical attention if feeling unwell.
