Noakhali Science and Technology University Teachers Association (NSTUTA) on Wednesday demanded the withdrawal of an embargo on recruitment in the university imposed by education ministry last year.
The placed the demand at a sit-in program by organised NSTUTA beneath the Shaheed Minar on the campus.
The protesting teachers urged the education ministry to take immediate action to solve the problem and lift the ban in recruitment for smooth continuation of the education.
NSTUTA President Professor Dr Newaz Mohammed Bahadur, General Secretary Maznur Rahman and its members and teachers from different departments, hall provosts, deans were present.
