Abdul Kabir Farhan, correspondent of Daily Amader Shomoy has been elected President and Mainuddin Pathan, correspondent of Daily Amar Sangbad has been elected as General Secretary of Noakhali Science and Technology University Journalists Association (NSTUJA).
The election was held from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm on Wednesday in the Hazi Idris Auditorium of the university. The result was published at the same day.
The other elected members are- Vice President Ripon Chandra Shil( Daily kaljoyi), Joint Secretary Sabiha Tasmim ( Daily our time), Treasurer Numan Rashed (Bangladesh Today), Office,Publicity and Publication Secretary SJ Arafat (Daily Manabzamin),Library and Training Secretary S Ahmed Fahim (Bangladesh Post),Executive Member Fazle Elahi Fuad (Banglavision Digital),Md Fahad Hossain (Daily Manobkantha).
In the election, the chief election commissioner was Professor Dr.Newaz Mohammed Bahadur, Adviser of NSTU Journalists Association and the election commissioners were Professor Dr.Firoz Ahmed, Chairman of Department of Microbiology and shafiqul Alam, Assistant Professor of Department of Business Administration. In the election, 12 candidates were fight for 9 posts and 22 voters were voted in the election.
