The journey of FIMS Career Club begins in Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) with the initiative of Department of Fisheries and Marine Science of this university.
On Tuesday, the inauguration ceremony of this club was held in the Department of Fisheries and Marine Science. In the program, Registrar Professor Dr Md Abul Hossain, Chairman of Department of Fisheries and Marine Science Prof Dr Jahangir Sarker, Associate Professor of the department Dr. Abdullah Al-Mamun and other teachers and students of the department were present.
A 15 members committee is formed to continue the activity of this club. In the committee, Tawshik Lahiri, student of Department of Fisheries and Marine Science in session of 2012-13, has been made president and Ashrafur Rahman,student of Department of Fisheries and Marine Science in session 2015-16, has been made general secretary.
The newly elected president Tawshik Lahiri said, "This club begins its journey so that the students can enrich their knowledge for job fields besides their academic studies. This club will also take initiative so that students of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Sciences can visit various fisheries hatcheries.
Newly elected General Secretary Ashrafur Rahman said, This Club would always work for advancing the laboratory activities of the department. The inauguration ceremony of NSTU FIMS Career club is held in the Department of Fisheries and Marine Science in NSTU on Tuesday.
