No one shows interest in Eid movies!

The biggest budget movies of the country are always released around Eid.  Producers are also more eager to release movies at this time as the movie business is good on Eid.  But due to Corona, no movie was released on Eid-ul-Fitr 2020.

Eid of 2021 crashed in the second wave of Corona.  The lockdown will continue till April 28.  Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the lockdown would be relaxed before Eid.

The idea is that like other traders, cinema traders will also be given the opportunity to do business.  Now the cinema hall is closed.  However, the owners of the country's cinema halls are closed for a month during Ramadan, not for the lockdown.

Producers and hall owners are usually busy booking movies during these closures.  But there are doubts about the release of the movie in Corona.  So neither side is showing enthusiasm for the release of the movie.

If the cinema hall is open on Eid, then there is no discussion about which cinema will be released in which theaters or how many cinemas.

Producer leader Khorshed Alam Khasru said, "It will be understood after April 28 what is going to happen."  The minister said the lockdown would be relaxed.  But we have to start work knowing what that relaxation will be why there will be instructions in the case of the theater.  However, there is no discussion about the release of this movie.

It was said that the movie ‘Mission Extreme’ will come on the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.  But now they are not saying anything for sure.

"We waited a year," said Faisal Ahmed, one of the film's directors.  Still waiting.  I don't want to say anything for sure.  Because if I can't come because I'm coming, it will be worse.  It all depends on the situation.

Azad Khan, the producer of ‘Shaan’ movie, which was announced for Eid, said the same thing.  He said a few hall owners have spoken to him to show the movie in their theaters.  It all depends on the situation.  We are ready.

Meanwhile, even though the producers are ready, there is no enthusiasm among the owners.  Kazi Shoaib Rashid, president of the exhibitors' association, said, "We are noticing the situation."  We are not having any discussion or suggestion about running Eid movies.

Apart from a film by Shakib Khan's Rebel and Dipjol, no application has been submitted to the producer-distributor association for the release of Eid movies.  According to the Producers and Distributors Association, if you want to release a movie on Eid, you can do so even if you apply a few days before Eid.

Moreover, now it does not take much time to copy the movie.  So it is possible to send movies to specific theaters in time on a pen drive or hard drive. Awlad Hossain Ujjwal, general secretary of the exhibitors' association, said it would be possible to release Eid movies at the last minute.
